Are there any bugs reported?

I do not see any where there is/or a bug reported.

Depending on your version, this bug is probably already fixed.

Please check bugs.kde.org for kmymoney bugs.

We don't check Launchpad bugs very often, and they are not upstreamed to us, so it's close to no use to report a bug here.

After checking, I still can't see any bug report. I am using version 1.0.4 of KmyMoney with KDE 3.5.10. Can you suggest anyone to help solve this problem, I would appreciate very much.

First of all, upgrade to 1.0.5 and check if that solves the problem.

If not, then you are out of luck. Version 1.x for KDE 3.x is frozen, and not developed anymore. There won't be any releases unless there is a security issue.

Thank you for your input. I did download this version, but I'm at a lost
as to how I open it and install it. Would you have any suggestions as to
how I would do it.

Thanks, Cecil

Is it a tar.gz file?

Did you uncompress it? Check the README and INSTALL files. There were instructions specific to Ubuntu in one of them.
