a stock appears in two different accounts

Asked by yvan

Hello,
i have a stock in USD which should be in the usd investment account but it appears also in a CHF investment account. how can I set it to the correct, USD, account ?
By the way what is the best practice when buying one stock in one currency from an account in another one? Should the money be transfer from the main account to the one corresponding to the stock's currency?
Thanks
yvan

Each stock is a different account. If you go to the Accounts, and you have the stock under the wrong investment account, delete it or close it.

Also, you can have stocks in a different currency than the investment account. I have several of those. You then transfer money from whichever account you actually bought the shares of the stock. The application will prompt for the conversion rates.

Can you help with this problem?
