Please provide the output of:

1) "ls -l /dev/sg*"

Please make sure your system is up-to-date, as a few bugs of this kind has been fixed recently.

Maybe you overlooked my question, Furado.

Please provide the output of:
1) "ls -l /dev/sg*"

If you don't know how to do that, you'll find a screencast at: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8851055906542319438

This is no fix, it's just a command.

Did you really copy and paste the command? Please try it again:

1) ls -l /dev/sg*
2) ls -l /dev/sc*

Markusm Thank you for your support.

When I pasted the first command this is what I got

0 crw-rw---- 1 root root 21, 0 2007-05-10 07:52 /dev/sg0.

Still unable to use cd. Please advise...
