Creating a backup of my phone contacts to the hard dcrive

Asked by Stan Perdue

Running KMobileTools 0.4.3.3; I can see & operate my Motorola RAZR V3xx, no problem. When I look at and refresh the contacts, I can see them. It says it's syncing with KDE Address Book. Is the address book storing a copy of my contacts from the phone to the hard drive? If so how do I access/locate the file on the drive? If not, is there a way to create a backup of my contacts from the phone to the hard drive? And is there a way to Restore from the hard drive to the phone? Thanks in advance.

All sounds cute, I can't answer for much of it since I don't have these, but have you tried opening KAdressBook and checking to see if your contacts were copied? For me, it's in Applications->Office->KAdressBook. That would answer part of your question, I think... I can't say whether KMobileTools would copy it back (restore, as you said). Right now, it looks as though their website has disappeared, otherwise I'd say ask them and they might include it as a new feature it not.

Can you help with this problem?
