how to search for specific binary files

Asked by JEfromCanada

I'm using a news reader to try to retrieve a binary file. I've never used a news reader before. I have successfully subscribed to alt.binaries.multimedia and am in the process of downloading headers. But I don't know what to do with them once they arrive.

I just installed the KDE news reader with klibido binary grabber, but don't know how to use it.

Thank you for your assistance. By the time I read my email and realized someone had tried to help, I managed to fumble my way through the problem and discover a solution. Prior to posting here, I had tried to access the "Help" facility of the program, only to be informed that the help file could not be located.

Therefore, your first answer (trying to install help) would probably have been useful.
