no shutdown menu

I burned a CD with the file "ubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386.iso"
When I run Ubuntu from the CD there's no "Shutdown" submenu in the "System" menu !
I should unplug computer to shut it down.

How can I fix that bug ?

In the upper right corner of your screen you see a menu called Life Session User, where you find the shut down option.
