Keepass Wrong Signature

I have keepassx on my mac, It has been fine for a few weeks and the other day it just wouldnt open and when I enter my password which i know is correct it says 'wrong signature'.
I have tried to look on their forums but I don't know how to fix this or why it has happened.
I can give more info if someone can help?
