Terminal wont work

I just instaled Kate (text editor) and the terminal isnt working, it just dont show anything at the "Terminal" tab... help please.

Until you LOAD something into Kate it will appear blank.

Are you running Ubuntu (Gnome) or Kubuntu (KDE)?

Try it...

...If you are running Ubuntu (Gnome) open a Terminal and issue the command: gksudo kate /etc/apt.sources.list

...If you are running Kubuntu (KDE) open Konsole Terminal and issue the command: kdesduo kate /etc/sources.list

The above should be /etc/apt/sources.list

It should work if you have kde's terminal called "konsole". Install it using "sudo apt-get install konsole"
