selected text gets deleted when switching between files in Kate

Open 2 files in Kate
Switch to file1 and select some text
Switch to file2 and again back to file1
You can see that the text you selected gets deleted.

What can be the solution for this?
This must be a bug.

Using Kate 3.5.1, KDE 3.5.2, Kubuntu 10.10

You could install klipper, You can then paste between apps easily.

This isn't a permanent solution though. One still faces problems in Find and Replace.
