Akregator is loading multiple copies of items

Running Kubuntu 9.10, and Kontact 4.3.2 (the latter for just 2 days), I find that Akregator is loading duplicate copies of feed items. With about 20 feeds, I now have 1984 feed items!!! In some feeds, I have 8 copies of each. I cannot discover why this is happening or what to do about it.

Assuming this can be stopped (HOW, please??), how do I purge the duplicates???

I think one copy of each feed item (news article) is plenty!

UPDATE: I have examined each feed, and have found that this is happening ONLY with feeds from Feedzilla (about 80% of my total feed list). I still don't know what the problem is, though...

This is most likely a bug, please consider opening a bug in the relevant
package (kdepim)
