email synchronizing / conversion

Is it possible to synchronize my MSN Hotmail acct. with Kmail (similar to MS Outlook & MSN web based mail)?
Is it possible to use my MSN email address?

There are a few hacks on that topic. See http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=200408 for example. Make sure to read the whole thread. It's for evolution, but since it's based on a local "proxy", the settings are the same for KMail.

To be honest, I really can't recommend using hotmail. It lacks basic features like POP3 or SMTP service. Not to mention IMAP. So it's always a lot of work to get it running.

In my opinion you should consider to change your e-mail provider. A good recommendation might be GMail (http://gmail.com).
