Some things don't seem to save from Kontact

Asked by Jenny Shaw

Hi,
I am a recent user. I tried to save the content of an email to a file in Documents. However, I could not seem to find out how to do this. I receive some regular newsletters that I sometimes like to keep.

Also, I wanted to copy and paste a picture from my files into an email, and was unable to do this. I had to attach, when I preferred to have this picture in the body of the email.

Hope you can help,
Regards, Jenny Shaw

Jenny,

I'm not a KDE user, but I've tried to work through the two things you mention and I think I have an answer:

1/ To save an email, right click on the message, choose "save as", and save to your Home directory. To save an attachment, right click on it and select "save all attachments" or "save as".

2/ I don't think Kmail allows the sending of HTML emails (but I might be wrong). You would need to be able to send HTML emails to do what you describe. Other people here may be in a better position to answer this.

Regards,

Andy
