KAddressbook custom fields...?

Asked by Bruce Jenkins

I have installed KAddressbook from Applications Add/Remove in Ubuntu 8.04, all works well except, I have created a "Custom Field" ie. "Number" as names and addresses are members of a club and each member has a number. Having created the "Field" the new field does not appear anywhere. I would be nice to have, for example, the number included on the 'address label' (I use csv files for printing the labels and use gLabels, which works well)

Is there anything I should do please...?

Regards

bruce

While you are in Kontacts address book, click on view and then select the fields that you want to add. Once you have done that you can rearrange them by clicking on the arrows on the right of the field pane. up and down. then when you are on the address book site, take your cursor and move those fields left and right to nmake them wider or narrower. hope this helps!

Ladykarlotta, many thanks for your reply, however a field created in "Custom field" tab does not appear in view as suggested. I can live without solving this problem but an answer would be nice. I suppose I should ask, when does one use the "Custom Field" tab...?

Thankyou again
