kontact not working new install

I have a new install of Kubuntu 12.10 Install followed the Use full disc guided install. Down load file md5 sums were verifed, dvd burn was at 3x speed, md5 file sums were verifed, disk check was performed. I have not updated to 4.9.3 but the system was updated. I started kontact and download messages using imap from Google, created filters, filtered messages, moved messages manual, download rss for the installed files. Shut down using File/Quit. Now when I try to start using a terminal I get the following:

I am instaled on a HP Ppavilion g7 with amd a6 cpu.

This problem and my ongoing Printer issue has me wondering about this release.
