Sound issues with HD video taken on Flip Ultra

Asked by seguima

Hi, I'm having problems with the sound when editing videos taken on a Flip Ultra. The video's are HD (1280 x 720) - Codec: H264/AVC and 30 fps

The Audio is MPEG-4 AAC, Stereo, 44100 Hz

The sound is distorted and crackly when previewed in the Clip Monitor or Project Monitor but.... seems OK when the clip is rendered.

Any help or guidance gratefully accepted :)

Andy

Hi Andy I'm new to Ubuntu & Kdenlive, but when I first tried Kdenlive, I had that problem it improved slightly by reducing the frequency down to the lowest setting, but I solved the problem by getting rid of the Pulse Audio setting. I hopt that helps.

Hi - thanks for your help!

I found a you tube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIc99Ax3zF4 explaining how to upgrade to the most recent version of Kdenlive and it seems to have fixed my problems without having to remove Pulse or reduce the frequency. I'm really impressed with Kdenlive, it's better than any Windows software I've come accross!

Thanks - Andy
