update kdenlive to 7.8.0

I have installed ubuntu 10.04 and kdenlive video editor 7.7.1 from the software centre. I want to update kdenlive to the latest stable version, which I think is 7.8.0. The updated features included in the kdenlive 7.8.0 are necessary for me to finish editing the videos to a series of conferences I'm trying to make into DVDs.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:sunab/kdenlive-release; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get -y install kdenlive

Thanks actionparsnip I'll give that a go, just one question, can I do this straight over the top of kdenlive 7.7.1 or is it best to remove it first?

No need to remove, just update away and the package will be updated, its much like when you get normal system updates
