how do i make an online status in kopete

i cant change my status to online. can anybody,please ,tell me why and how can I fix it..?? thank you

Alright have you tried right clicking on the icon in the system notification
bar and the go to status and change it to online

thank you for trying to help but ,still, nothing works :( I changed every status icon to online .i have tryed with a different user and nothing.... it wont even show the contact list.

Now that's probably a bug in KDE because it supposed to change there,
consider reporting a bug in this case. [1]
