It looks like according to this documentation (http://docs.kde.org/development/en/kdenetwork/kopete/protocols.html#protocols-msn) that kopete doens't support msn video chat. All they support is taking a still image off someone else's webcam.

that document says "MSN supports the sending and receiving of webcams, if your camera is supported by the Video4Linux 2 (v4l2) standard. To view someones webcam, right click on their MSN butterfly icon and select View Contact's Webcam. " so i assume that means that it supports webcam chats. it works in amsn, but i much prefer kopete. the way it is worded i see that it could give the impression of still images but that is just how msn words it, amsn also words it that way. you have to offer your webcam feed to a contact and the same goes for them.

Well, according to this forum dated this February, http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=29799, it appears Kopete still doesn't support MSN video. You may want to check with the Kopete developers. If they aren't active in their IRC channel, you can email them. Their emails are listed here: http://kopete.kde.org/team.php

Can you help with this problem?
