can't get remote desktop to work in kopete

trying to get remote desktop to work so that i can help my brother in law at his house, new to Linux and not quite shore what I'm doing wrong. It just keeps saying that request was rejected, request was remote assistance.

To remote assistance, you need to configure the firewall on the pc that need the assistance, to do permissions open ports, etc.
The firewall in other computer is that are rechasing automatic the petition

you need to install firestarter, a utility to configure the firewall.
