Name Lookup Has Failed when connecting to yahoo messenger.

I always getting the error message: error name lookup has failed when connecting to yahoo messenger. please help!

well..
I have seen same problem with kopete in mandriva...:)

First go to tab "account" menu bar
click "add/edit" & choose or click your email account that you create
After that click modify......in here...you must know......
When the first time you used this make sure modify account popup should not be change...if you do probably it will fail to connect

make sure tab "advanced" pager host and pager host must not be changed...leave it as defaults.....

while trying this pager host: scs.msg.yahoo.com
and this
pager host:cs.yahoo.co.jp (I have used japan pager host)

and use global setting for proxy setting..

I had the same problem and choose "Override default server information" in the Connection Preferences. Kopete doesn't store this setting, but it connected successfully.

Sorry. It worked yesterday but doesn't work today. :-(
