You don't have to use Amsn to get Msn. You could try Pidgin or Sim-IM or Kopete or something else they can all sign on to Msn.

ok, thanks for the answer.. now with sim-in i can sign on to msn...

but i don't understand why kopete don't work. in grafical it's better than sim-in and i would'like to use it. it sign in ok but when i send a message it says me that the message was not send correctly (connection closed).
how can i help it to use it? i have yet modified the virtual servers to the router.
thanks sergio

I can't give a technical answer.

I like Kopete because it has webcam support. When I started to use Gutsy Gibbon Kopete just kept crashing and I could not use it. (I can't remember if I reloaded it.)

That is when I started to use Sim-IM.

Strangely I found that I could use Kopete again. Webcam support seems to work only over a "short" distance and when there is a strong signal. It doesn't always work.
