can i detect windows virus in Ubuntu based virus guard ?

i'm installed Ubuntu 9.10 in windows7 pc ( dual boot- installed inside windows)
so i want to know if i installed Wine-HQ in my Ubuntu and surfing in a internet ; then harmful viruses can installed or save automatically in my pc internal storage devices and after i boot windows then that viruses can activate?

so can i prevent; saving windows based viruses in Ubuntu boot time in my pc?

I mean can i detect windows virus in Ubuntu based virus guard ?

There are antivirus softwares which run native in ubuntu, you can then scan the windows partition once you mount it
