Code::Blocks C/C++ IDE for Kubuntu Feisty

Asked by ByrondlF

Is there a newbie-friendly way of installing a complete C/C++ dev package (e.g., Code::Blocks) in Kubuntu Feisty--using only "Add/Remove Programs" (Adept) or some other easy process?

We use Dev C++ under WinXP where we study C programming. At home we have only a single PC running Kubuntu.

The obvious choice for you is Kdevelop.

My personal favorite is Eclipse + CDT, but this required Java and a lot of memory :) If you're interested hve a look at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EclipseIDE

I'm still working on installing the package-build essentials as suggested by Ralph Janke and CACLF. I haven't tried Eclipse + CDT yet. I'd like something comparable with Dev C++ for WindowsOS. I'm also still looking for the "Kdevelop handbook," if there's one.
