Konqueror: how to start it automatically with the profile file manager? I don't want to use it as internet browser.

Asked by Bejamus

About Konqueror: I don't want to use it because of its internet browser capacities. I want to use it as a file manager. Every time I start
Konqueror I have to choose the file manager profile. Is it possible to start Konqueror as a file manager with the file manager profile
automatically. Is there a command line instruction with a special option to do this. I want to see a detailed view of files.
If this is not possible has KDE another file manager that is not an internet browser?

Thanks for the question.

I am not sure if I understand exactly what you want to achieve. Konqueror acts as a filemanager if you choose a directory. You can also do this in the command line by just giving the chosen directory as argument, i.e.:

konqueror .
konqueror ~
konqueror <directory of choice>

The first line opens the current directory, the second your home directory.

I hope this helps
