add 3 window desktop in lower panel

Asked by carmy

Hi Everyone,

I do have the ability to enable 3 desktops on the ubuntu desktop. I can see all 3 when I scroll the mouse while at the desktop (left, center & right). The only problem is when you look at the bottom panel.. you really only see one. So, my question is how to you set the 3 window feature to the lower panel (currently it only has one).

Thanks

Hi carmy

If you don't have it, install the package kcontrol - included in the Synaptic Package manager.

1: Activate kcontrol
2: Open Desktop
3: Click Multiple Desktops

There you can define the amount of desktops. The amount should be shown in the bottom panel.

Hope it helps.

Ups, that's strange. The second entry on the left should be desktop. And the second entry of desktop should be Multiple desktops.

Thanks Peter, I figure out a different way, right click add to panel.
I think its called Workplace Switch or something like that.
Currently I am at work so can't really look at it and see what it is called exactly.
Anyway, thanks a bunch Peter. :)
