Wait...you mean you cant even log into the desktop?

If you´re on the desktop, go to System > Administration > login window. Go to the security tab, and make sure the ¨Allow local system administrator login¨ box is checked.

As for adding another user to your system, go to System > Administration > users and groups. from here you should see your own user name, along with root, which should be grayed out. click on root and click ¨unlock¨ and then click on the ¨add user¨ button. This will allow you to configure a new user, and set the authorities of said user.

If you´re not on your desktop though, I have no idea how to help you. I ran into that trouble just the other day with Fedora 9, and I got so mad at it I ended up formatting to base Fedora 9 just so I could download the Ubuntu .iso and install it. Needless to say, I am sick of OS problems.

Can you help with this problem?
