access old install from new

my old install worked well till today is there a way that i can install it new yet access the old broken install.

Instead of installing anew, you could also access the old install through the Live CD, but if you want to access the old install through a new one then you should first install the new one to a different partition or drive, after you do that just boot the new install and then access the broken one just like any normal partition or drive.
