how to install programs at kubuntu console

Hello,

 I'm usink Kubuntu 7.10 alternate power-pc+ps3 on my PS#. I'm trying to install many programs but I don know how to do this. I need to know all the steps to do this.

I don't know if there is something special you are having problems with, but a basic means of adding software is addressed here:
