The easiest way to share files on the Limewire network is to install gtk-gnutella.

Start a terminal and type
> sudo apt-get install gtk-gnutella

That should do it... The file you downloaded is probably a RPM... Ubuntu uses .deb, so would need to "alien" it... Easier if you use apt-get to install the package as I told you...

Hi, I downloaded Thunderbird successfully, I want it to be my default e-mail program. How do I do this?? I don't quite understand how you install a program once downloaded, and then choose to use it ??? I am running Kubuntu, and I can't get my head around the Kmail program, I am finding it far too complicated for setting up contacts etc. Any help would be appreciated.
