adept, error committing changes

When I used Adept to update or add programs, i get the error msg: "There was an error committing changes. there was possibly a problem downloading some packages, or else the commit would break packages." However, except in one case, the changes have been applied. The one case where this did not happen, one of the programs I was downloading did not install, I think it was Audacity.
