Can not play proprietary DVD with Kaffeine demux plug in not present

When trying to play a DVD (for instance) a movie.
kaffeine opens but does not play.
Error message trying to find demux plug in.
Dvd appears to be mounted.

have a look at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/RestrictedFormats

you will need to add the medibuntu repositoy and install some packages
