comp shut off while gaim runing gaim will not work any longer

gaim will not work at all then unistall ing it says a pakage break.

You should try to reconfigure the package, via terminal type 'sudo dpkg-reconfigure gaim', or 'sudo apt-get install --reinstall gaim'
