.exe files are usually windows executables. They can't run natively under linux. Use wine (in universe repositories) or cedega (commercial, but sometimes easier to configure).
For your card, have you tried:
https:/
?

I've just downloaded the linux version it's really a linux executable (no extension) packed with tar and gzip.
First double click the archive, archive manager should appear. Extract it to let's say desktop. You should be able to run it by again simply double-clicking on the "stepmania" file inside the extracted folder.
If this fails something doesn't work :) It worked for me but there seems to be a lot of threads on forums on how to get it running. So i wouldn't be surprised with some problems. Try running it in terminal to see why it's failing.
Note also that this is not a recommended as a way to install software on your ubuntu. You should use Add/Remove or Synaptic. There doesn't seem to be a package for stepmania however.

I'm not really an expert when it comes to wireless, but unless someone more knowledgeable helps will try :)
First, could you please show me the output of the lspci and iwconfig, and maybe also write shortly what steps you have taken?

Yes, seems your card is really not supported. First i would still check the System-
I understand that you more or less have followed all the steps on: https:/
Then yes it should probably be under wlan0.
Some things to check:
Does "modprobe -l ndiswrapper" return a line with ndiswrapper near the end?
Does "ndiswrapper -l" shows you some "a driver present, hardware present" message?
I suppose those two are ok.
Check your /etc/ifftab file, there should be a line there for wlan0, like this:
wlan0 mac 01:02:03:04:05:06 arp 1
and the address should be your cards unique hardware address.
Are you tring method 3.6.1 or 3.6.2 to configure the card?

You seem to have altered the original question very much, what makes me think i've answered a wrong question by mistake :) Next time could you please leave it for others, who may have a similar problem.
Ok back to the topic, this one seems to be one of the hardest cards to get working. There is even a special page for it:
https:/
You may try doing that instead of what you've tried before,
Some problems i can already see:
Have you disabled the free driver? You can copy this and paste into terminal:
echo 'blacklist bcm43xx' | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.
You have probably installed two drivers, while you should install just one (bcmwl5a). You should be able to remove the other one using ndisgtk:
sudo apt-get install ndisgtk
ndisgtk
What about the /etc/iftab file?

You can change eth1 to wlan0 in /etc/iftab ("sudo gedit /etc/iftab" in terminal). But i'm almost sure it won't work anyway, so before that try those instructions from the last answer (all those procedures assume you didn't change much in files on your system, so you'll have to undo any you've already did).
Some clarifications:
Compiling ndiswrapper,
point 1: add ndiskgtk (should be removed automatically, so just to be sure)
point 2: you want the stable 1.48 version
point 3: you can just as well extract the archive by clicking on it
point 4: assuming you've extracted to your desktop it would be: "cd ~/Desktop/
Configuring ndiswrapper:
point 1: make a directory "drivers" on your desktop and put there all windows files (bcmwl5a.inf & bcmwl5.sys).
point 2: this time it will be "cd ~/Desktop/drivers"
Install and configure wicd:
point 1: download and put wicd_1.3.1-all.deb on your desktop
point 2: "cd ~/Desktop" and "sudo dpkg -i wicd_1.3.1-all.deb"
This instructions are only a couple of days old, so there's a good chance it should work.
