adept list not updating

Hi There

My Problem:
When I choose Add Remove Programs, Log into Adept, the list of programs currently installed comes up. It however doesn't update the list from the web like it used to. It only shows the currently installed programs, as well as a few other packages which is greyed out. I am trying to install Samba and some games. No go however.

What have I done to resolve the problem?:
I've checked my internet connection, (it's working as I'm sending this mail). I've checked for options to force it to list all packages available or to refresh, found none. I've also trawled through other people's questions (this has helped me with various other problems).
