desktop effects are disabled on reboot (Kwin Kubuntu)

Asked by Daniel Wrana

Desktop Effects work fine, but regularly on reboot they are disabled. I can reenable them. The systemsetting module says, they are put off by an application. But I don't know which application shuts them off and where to search for it. Disabling desktop effects in power devil is not enabled.

KWin on Kubuntu Maverick

Don't change this to Compiz, its Kubuntu

Thank you for the answer. But sorry, somebody changed this to the compiz-package, but i mentioned KWIN and Kubuntu. They do not work with compiz. I hope there is a similar answer for the Kwin display manager. Thank you for your attention.

You can use either. You can even use emerald or openbox if you wish. You don't HAVE to use kwin with KDE.

Can you help with this problem?
