if you got the install cd for vista drop it in the cd player and go for it '' you will also need driver cd. if you need an install cd for ubuntu just down load and burn to cd and your set.

Aww this makes me sad to hear, might i ask why you want to revert back to Misro$oft? Ubuntu has many great features, and you can easy have both, there are emulation projects that would enable you to have Windows features in ubuntu, such as Winehq, VMware, and even VirtualBox <<< my fave programme (its free and will emulate a full desktop of windows or any other desktop you like provided you have the disks or iso) and its all free - all of it :D free the best price there is.

we're real sad to hear you want to go back to Windows, but we understand Linux isn't the best for all, three last things:

It's not just Linux users that have the advantage of Open source, even if Windows it's self isn't, try here for free, Open source prorammes in windows
 http://www.opensourcewindows.org/

if you don't have the Windows install disks around they are selling them here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-vista/default.aspx
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/help/install-reinstall-uninstall

if you wanted to change up and coming versions of ubuntu you could use your launch pad id to sign in an vote on features
http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com
once again sad to hear you are wanting to leave us.
you could help improve Ubuntu by telling us what you dont like and then we can build a picture of where we need to improve

Took Sams advice, but could not find control panel as it doesnt appear on this version of Ubuntu. There must be another option in Ubuntu to get into the control panel to delete and return to Vista.

#step 1 talks about Vista (see screenshot).
You're not supposed to remove Ubuntu partiton from within Ubuntu itself.
