How do I rename Activities in Kubuntu 11.10

Asked by Marco Parillo

I could not find it in Help, and Google led me to this:
http://www.ghacks.net/2010/08/16/kde-desktop-activities-explained/
To rename that activity make sure you have the Activity selected you want to rename right-click the desktop and select Desktop Settings. In this new window select Activity and then give the Activity a new name. Once you have done that, click OK and your Activity will now have the proper name.

But on my Kubuntu 11.10, Desktop Settings only has View (Layout; Wallpaper; Positioning; and Color) and Mouse Settings.

Thanks in advance.

When I show the Activity Manager by clicking on the three dots just to the left of the Kick-Off Application Launcher in my panel, I see a small wrench (spanner) in the lower right of the Activity Icon. A single left mouse click brings up a text box above a slightly smaller Activity Icon. I can change the text in the box and click Apply to Accept Changes.

Whoops, make that:

When I show the Activity Manager by clicking on the three dots just to the *RIGHT* of the Kick-Off Application Launcher in my panel, I see a small wrench (spanner) in the lower right of the Activity Icon. A single left mouse click brings up a text box above a slightly smaller Activity Icon. I can change the text in the box and click Apply to Accept Changes.
