No antialiasing for KDE-Plasmoids after Oneiric upgrade

Asked by omni-vi

Having upgraded to Oneiric I find the KDE plasmoids oder desktop apps (or how they are called) somewhat broken. There is no antialiasing.

Most prominent example are the hands of the clock : http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/194/bildschirmfoto7t.png/

What can I do?

I suggest you report a bug. Oneiric is not released so is officially unstable. If you use a proprietary video driver then I suggest you remove then reinstall ity

"Please close this because it's not a question."

It certainly is a question...: "What can I do?"

Okay, more questions:

What can I do to get properly looking widgets?
Are there additional information I could provide to make it easier for you to help me?

Is there some sort of cache that needs to be rebuild? Like the icon cache or something?

Yes but the user actionparsnip has alredy answered with what he can do. Isn't better that catcher asks for help in the bug report?

Does anyone here know how the rendering of widgets is done?

is there anything I can do myself to improve the situation?

@eNry
The proper way to close something on https://answers.launchpad.net that is *truly* not a question is generally for an answer contact to mark it Invalid. That would not be appropriate here; I commented so that no answer contact would see what you'd said and hastily reject the thread. I don't disagree with you otherwise, though this thread may still be useful for ancillary questions such as those in post #8.
