How do you set CPU frequency scaling in KDE?

Asked by footer

I (footer) Posted this over in the Ubuntu forums:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=2523047#post2523047

I think the the response to my question is directed at the Gnome window manager because I can't find anything like it in KDE. Can you provide any advice here?

Thanks!

Try the kpowersave package. However it does not work for me on my LG LM40a laptop (Pentium-M).

I have to configure scaling manually in /sys/devices/system/cpu/*/cpufreq.
