Can't add Users to my installation.

Asked by rlg

I just finished the install of Kubuntu and cannot determine how to add new users. Under System Administration, I have NO "Users & Groups" Icon' only Login Manager. Is there something wrong with my install or am I missing something.

thanks in advance for your help.

This may help you

Another option is to use a terminal windows and the adduser or addgroup commands

I tried to add users in Terminal Mode with the "adduser" command, but all I got was this:

root@homeserver:~# adduser
adduser: Only one or two names allowed.
root@homeserver:~#

Can someone please advise what I am doing wrong. Too bad I can't just do this through System Admin.

Thanks!

Found the Answer.

In version 8.04, User & Group management has been moved from System Administration to Network Administration.

Thanks any way for your help.
