Hello Susan

Please refer:

http://gmail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=13287&ctx=en:match

It should work. Although I haven't used KMail and kde in a while, I visited this page every time I needed to set up a GMail account and it worked every time..

and in your GMail settings -> Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab, you need to enable POP downloading...

Regards

Bhavani Shankar.

While your suggestion seems good enough, I'm looking for methods of having it GMail open through a web browser instead. This is possible in Windows through GMail Notifier or Google Talk.

Can you help with this problem?
