kchmviewer settings screen shows viewurl-netscape.sh which is non-existant

Asked by GaryW

kchmviewer settings screen shows viewurl-netscape.sh which is non-existent

user@d183z2g:~/.kchmviewer$ which viewurl-netscape.sh
user@d183z2g:~/.kchmviewer$ grep viewurl /var/lib/dpkg/info/*.list

Doing a lookup on packages.ubuntu.com
  http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?searchon=contents&keywords=viewurl-netscape.sh&mode=exactfilename&suite=jaunty&arch=any
returns a single entry. The package licq contains that file.

user@d183z2g:~/.kchmviewer$ which kchmviewer
/usr/bin/kchmviewer
user@d183z2g:~/.kchmviewer$ which www-browser
/usr/bin/www-browser
user@d183z2g:~/.kchmviewer$ ls -l /usr/bin/www-browser
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 29 2008-05-01 23:12 /usr/bin/www-browser -> /etc/alternatives/www-browser
user@d183z2g:~/.kchmviewer$ ls -l /etc/alternatives/www-browser
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 2009-04-23 00:15 /etc/alternatives/www-browser -> /usr/bin/epiphany

Question:
Should .config file of kchmviewer be updated to say:
QtBrowserPath=www-browser '%s'
instead of current entry which is QtBrowserPath=viewurl-netscape.sh '%s'

Having kchmviewer using www-browser would fit with the goal of the /etc/alternatives system to provide user choice in browsers and also give a convenient /usr/bin/ call which you know will exist on every Ubuntu system.
