channel config installing plugin

i need help on putting new satillite transponder ln kaffeine also installing plugin in kaffeine,i have trouble editing in kde.want to watch sat tv with kaffeine. thanks
also going to need some rotor help.

i changed to kubuntu yesterday, an don't know how to edit transponder list in kaffeine,what is the edit command,,i tried gedit ,but it doesn't work in kubuntu, i want to put north america transponders in home/.kde/share/apps/kaffeine/dvb-s.it always tells me i don't have premission. also i have a plugin i need to install somewhere in kaffeine,and would like you know the where,an command to unzip an install.

Have you tried to edit the file with super user permissions?

for eample gksudo gedit home/.kde/share/apps/kaffeine/dvb-s or sudo nano home/.kde/share/apps/kaffeine/dvb-s.

Also, what is the type of file you are trying to extract(unzip) ? If it's zip, sudo apt-get install unzip and you can run unzip <filename>
