What are you trying to copy? K9copy and k3b are somewhat differnt tools. K9copy is generally used to take a DVD and shrink it to a single layer size and then burn it. K3b can burn images but does not do the shink part nor do I think it decrypts encrypted dvds (unless there have been some chages lately). Actually k9copy can't either unless the right library is installed but I'm not sure about k3b.

If you are wanting to burn data type cds and dvds then check out Brasero. This tool does do a verify after a burn and overall is a pretty nice app. It's installed by default with Hardy (v8.04).

I don't think k9copy does any kind of verify on a burn.
