Prevent laptop to enter screensaver or power save mode while burning a cd with k3b?

While I was burning a cd with k3b, my laptop entered power save mode. ...when I verified the cd, there was an error on it :-(

I want to prevent this from happening agian. Therefore I would like to know: How can I prevent my laptop to enter screensaver or power save mode while I'm burning a cd with k3b?
I would prefer configuring this once in k3b, so that k3b automatically prevents my laptop to enter screensaver or powersave mode while I'm burning an optical.

I don't know about configuring k3b for that, but you can configure kpowersaver to do that. Just select a certain profile or create your own that does not use the screensaver or power save mode. Also, make sure that gnome power manager is not running at the same time or it will not work (only need to worry about this if you're running xubuntu). If you're not running kubuntu and don't have kpowersaver, just configure your power manager accordingly.
