Lost k3b and k9copy on ubuntu 10.10 after partial upgrade.

Asked by slick517d

Was receiving error while retrieving update list after install of maverick. A error occurred during the signature verification. The repository is not updated and the previous index files will be used. GPG error: http://extras.ubuntu.com maverick Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 16126D3A3E5C1192.

Went on line and found how to add key. After that it went through a partial upgrade and removed my k3b and k9copy and other files. Now it will not let me re-install those files.

Problem solved. I noticed that it had un-installed kde base. I installed kde base first and then it would it would let me install my k3b and k9copy. It for some reason would not automatically pick up and re-install the kde base for some reason.
