Java not working

Well I am unable to use Java in Firefox and Chromium! If I go on the website 'ukchatterbox', the website is empty in firefox and chromium, however in opera it works for a few seconds, I am able to write a couple of lines, but then absolutely nothing!

Can anyone help?

Can you give the output of:

dpkg -l | grep java; lsb_release -a

reinstalled ubuntu its working again
