Location of javadoc

Asked by Kasper van den Berg

After installing the binary packages libjai-core-java and libjai-core-java-doc (version 1.1.4-2) I can't find the Javadoc for JAI. I assume it normally resides in /usr/share/doc/libjai-core-java (or in /usr/share/doc/libjai-core-java-doc).

I also checked /usr/share/java; it contains jai-core-1.1.4.jar, jai_core.jar, jai_codec-1.1.4.jar, jai_codec.jar (i'm not sure what jai_codec exactely is), jai_imageio-1.2.jar, jai_imageio.jar (both from libjai-imageio, I presume) and other java libraries.

dpkg-query -L libjai-core-java-doc gives /usr/share/doc/libjai-core-java-doc/copyright, /usr/share/doc/libjai-core-java-doc/changelog.Debian.gz, and their parent directories nothing else.

I use Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise) on an amd64, with packages updated up to july 28th, 2012.

Can you tell me where to find the installed javadoc for JAI or how to install it correctely?

With kind regards,
Kasper van den Berg

The libjai-core-java-doc
Java Advanced Imaging API reference implementation (documentation)
contents two files (dito Quantal).

Maybe have a look at the last box downwards right corner 'Similar packages' has some docs.

Or try the wiki from their homepage.
