did you read the ENTIRE post? the answer might be further down.

If i post a link, it's because I feel the other person is too lazy to find the answer him/herself and I want them to learn how to search on the internet or whatnot. some people might do it for other reasons.

anyhoo...back to what i was saying...did you look to see if the answer to your problem was there?

oh boy, simple. we read your answer.
i understand what its like dealing with the lazy. i also have worked with
a lot of stupid people witch i am not, but there could just be some thing simple im not seeing or understanding for example i click

https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-nettool/+question/134713

it takes me to

https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-nettool/+question/134713

no answers these are just random. so i try
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wine/+question/134696

wow an answer ! what a coincident its from you. ok finally iv seen an answer but i had to randomly go to questions witch most questions i have read are not even problems the answers are in the question a lot of the time. so maybe the ones i have just dont gave an answer yet.

i can except that. so dose this mean problem solved? i mean would you agree or do you think im sick?

a lot of people don't know how to communicate properly, this is probably because they don't know the "jargon" or they simply don't know what they're doing and what they're trying to do isn't working. i find there are way more people in the latter category.

different people answer questions differently. take macrobra for example. he likes to cut and paste. i'm surmising that he has answered he same questions time and time again, so it's easier for him.

then there's actionparsnip who has strong preferences for certain software (e.g. chrome as opposed to firefox as an internet browser). personally, i find chrome and other stuff from google to be KAKA, except for the google search engine.

don't take things personally, is all i can suggest. if someone doesn't answer your question, wait awhile and someone else will come along and suggest something else.

well that's exactly what i was thinking. like the jargon is a big
problem for me sometimes because i am self taught and have no friends
that have a clue. i couldn't count the times i set ubuntu up on
someones laptop and with in one week they reformat it and install
windows with a bogus cd-key all because they could not get on line. i
don't know why people think Windows is magic an will jump right on
line when the problem is they don't have an internet connection. they
think a Toshiba satellite has a satellite transceiver in it..

what i have always done is read others questions that were the same as
mine. this was the first time i asked any thing.

yes i agree with you about Google;s stuff but it works smoothly most
of the time with very little dummy input. i use chrome for email only
but then follow up links some times go a ways.

take things personally is the last thing i will do. im usually the one
saying that after i give someone a mental break down {on purpose} of
course.so thank you for your time and advice.

some people that can not communicate well are very intelligent and a
lot of the time some people are not as smart as they think they are
and they do not listen well because they are so busy impressing
themselves.

im sorry i realize this is not the place for this type of conversation
so im down and out of here. there are some people who might learn
something here though.?

windoze is magic because microshaft had brainwashed people to think it is.

anyhoo, if you don't understand the jargon, just explain the best you can by telling:

1) which program you're using
2) what you're trying to do with the program
3) what you expect to happen
4) what actually happens

that will give enough info for anyone to solve the problem for you.

long time helpers will be able to spot the problem and offer assistance. sometimes they are too quick to jump to a solution because it looks like a similar problem they've seen many, many times before.

but there are lots of different helpers here, some are more technically "gifted" like actionparsnip, who like to get down to the code level, and there are others with tons of experience at the graphical (windoze like) level.

just a matter of being patient. if you don't get a response in a few days, just repost, because people don't monitor the board everyday and will miss it when they come on.

Can you help with this problem?
