Port 1 reported open with not apparent owner or service

Asked by kapthar

Using one of the scanning tools I find port one and 25 open. I can not identify the users of port 1. I suspect 25 is the smtp normal use. I would like to close port 1 and would like to do it with iptables. Can onyone help with the filter or block ?
Tnx

THERE ARE TOO MANY BLOCKING THINGS RUNNING TO MAKE A REASONABLE DETERMINATION OF EFFECTIVENESS. I HAVE TO LIMIT THINGS TO JUST ONE AT A TIME. WILL START WITH THE BUILTIN IPTABLES. THANKS FOR THE HELP

Thanks. I have switched to using ufw. It seems more responsive than simply using iptables.
